William Earl (Bill) Mings, age 58 of Fayetteville passed away at his home on October 21, 2015.
Bill was born on February 7, 1958 in Onawa, Iowa to Larry D. Mings and Madelyn M. Hopkins Mings. He was an equipment operator in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, family and friends. He was a member of the Friends Church in Carlisle, Iowa.
He is survived by a son; Casey Simpson and wife Atalie; grandson, Dax; mother, Madelyn Hopkins; father, Larry Mings; one sister, Lari Hopkins and husband Steve; two brothers, Jim Mings and wife Shelly and Danny Mings and wife Lois; nephews, Willie Hopkins and wife Lacey, Brian Mings and wife Annie, Coltan Mings and fiancée Amanda and Noah Burrow-Hopkins; nieces, Jessica Hopkins and Dominic, Rebecca Hopkins, Shannon Wolfe, Shelby Mings and Shawnee Mings and too many to count great-nephews, great-nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his step-father, Gus Hopkins; grandparents, Frances and Julia Mings, Curly Mock and Mary Noble and Charlie.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday October 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
