William Lane Heller, age 87, formerly of Round Top, passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2013 in Texarkana, TX.
William was born August 22, 1925 at Mission Valley, Texas, son to George W. Heller and Lucila Morgan. He married Jean M. Schwab on December 29, 1956 in Richmond, Texas. They were happily married 47 years, until Jean’s passing in 2004.
William was a retired machinist. He worked thirty years at W.K.M. He moved to Round Top after his retirement in 1986. William enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a gunsmith. He was a life time member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by 3 children; Janice Scott of Texarkana, AR; Ralph Blose of Windsor, VA and Kenneth Heller of Spicewood, TX; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Eloise Schiller and several nieces and nephews also survive.
William was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jean Marie Heller; three sisters, Ruth Brigham, Lillie Mae Saucier and Dean Monk.
Visitation is scheduled from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Saturday January 19, 2013 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Family will receive visitors from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Interment will follow in Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top.
