Wilbur Otto Hoehne passed away on August 13, 2013, at the age of 86 in La Grange.
Wilbur was born on September 7, 1926, at Schulenburg, to Otto Louis Hoehne and Carrie Haas Hoehne. He served his country in the United States Army
Wilbur married Dora Ladewig on September 14, 1947. He was a retired self-employed painting contractor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Dora, of La Grange; two daughters, Lillian McCutcheon and husband Sonny of Allen, Texas, Janet Chandler and husband Dale of Dallas; one son, Reuben Hoehne and wife Gloria of La Grange; daughter-in-law, Bernice Hoehne of Poplarville, MS.; four sisters, Evelyn Marrou of Katy, Lera Grosch of Lake Hill, Ruth Sommer and husband Gus of Muldoon and Geraldine Mendel of La Grange; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Leah, Marcus, Alisha, Kristen, Cody, Amanda and Rebecca; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents; son, Edgar Hoehne and a brother Archie Hoehne.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 15, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors at this time.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday August 16, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Freyburg United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Freyburg United Methodist Church or the charity of one’s choice.
