Vivian Roberts, age 84, passed away March 29, 2010, at St. Mark’s Medical Center of La Grange.
She was born on June 1, 1925, in Batesville, Arkansas. She worked at Wal-Mart.
She is survived by her husband, Richard(Moose) Roberts of La Grange, one sister, Bonnie Fitzsimmons of Arizona; one daughter, Cynthia Beck of Lubbock; one son, Kenny Bass and wife Glenda of League City; three stepdaughters, Denise Speckels and husband Bruce of La Grange, Sheilah Popp and husband Craig of La Grange and Shelly Zbranek and husband David of La Grange; a stepson, Rick Roberts of La Grange. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Debra Goodman of Wylie, Nikki Brewer and husband Bryon of McKinney and Joy Ellen Lauderdale; five step grandchildren; Bridgette Guinand and husband Tom of La Grange, Brodie Popp of Huntsville, Ashley Virnau and husband Matt of Waldeck and Lezli and Lauren Zbranek of La Grange; tow great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Brendon Brewer and two great step-grandchildren, Chelsea Popp of La Grange and Marcus Darden, II of La Grange. Also surviving are brothers-in-law; Billy Mike Roberts and wife Bobbie Jean of La Grange and J. C. Roberts and wife Jeanie of Three Rivers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Clarence and Jewel Taylor.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday April 2, 2010, from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday April 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Popp, Tom Guinand, Bruce Speckels, Matt Virnau, David Zbranek and Brodie Popp.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Chruch in La Grange.
