Sophie Drab, age 97, passed away on February 14, 2013 in La Grange.
Sophie was born on February 25, 1915, at La Grange, to Robert P. Bordovsky and Frances Lastovica Bordovsky. She married Willie J. Drab on November 27, 1939 in Hostyn.
She was a homemaker, worked ten years in the La Grange School Cafeteria and Drab’s Wholesale Florist. She was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Annunciation #1962 and St. Frances of Rome KJZT #31.
She is survived by one son; William J. Drab of La Grange, one daughter; Elaine S. Allamon of Georgetown, five grandchildren; Bruce Allamon and wife Dana, Brad Allamon and wife Jackie, Lorie Tippie, Michael Drab and wife Tomi Beth and Andrea Drab, five great-grandchildren , a brother; Louis Bordovsky also survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie J. Drab in 1995, her parents, two brothers; William Bordovsky and Robert Bordovsky and a sister; Frances Bordovsky.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday February 17, 2013, from 12:00 Noon until 7:30 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday February 18, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange
Interment will follow in La Grange City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Scholarship Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
