A Celebration of Life for Sherrell Myers will be scheduled at a later date.

In loving memory of Sherrell Myers, who touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Sherrell passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the age of 67. She was a devoted grandmother, mother and friend, known for her warm heart and generous spirit. Sherrell’s love and kindness for her family were the cornerstones of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories.

Sherrell was born on December 26, 1956. She dedicated her life to nurturing all of those around her. She was one to have many goals and passions, of which she shared with everyone she met. She was also one to always open up her home to anyone, and she made sure to fill it with laughter and love. She always knew how to put a smile on your face, and how to light up any room she walked in.

Sherrell worked at Dig It Preschool for over 13 years. She was known for her huge Santa Claus collection, her talented arts and crafts and her love for scary movies. She also enjoyed cruises, and she always wanted to visit Alaska. She loved her family and dear friends, but the light of her life was her grandson, Carter Wayne. Sherrell will be dearly missed by those that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sherrell is survived by her son, Shawn White and wife, Jaime Sparks of La Grange and daughter, Tammy Mashburn (Cason) of Midland; two brothers and one sister, Kimberley Cruz (Willie) of San Marcos; grandchildren, Carter Wayne White, Sonja Sparks, Amber Whittle, and Devin Rehders; close nephews, Justin, Jamie and Thomas; dear friends to name a few, Kathy Sampson, Kasey Kasper, Stacie Karstedt, Melissa Moore, Charlotte Jackson, Ginger Royston, and Donna Neiser.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother Lena Childers, and sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Stanley Ruthvan.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home to help with the unexpected funeral costs.
