Robert E. Tonn age 95 of La Grange passed away on May 23, 2011.
Robert was born January 12, 1916 in Winedale Texas to Paul and Emma Wendland Tonn. He married Eva Lee Marburger on January 12, 1941. A resident of La Grange for the past 35 years, he was a farmer early in his life and later worked for Hurricane Steel in La Grange until his retirement.
Robert is survived by his wife, nieces Pat Delk and husband William of Austin, TX, Gwen Dykes and husband Joe of Buda, TX, Lou Ann Stokes of Spring, TX, and Dorothy Becker, one nephew Floyd Tonn.
He is preceded in death by parents Paul and Emma Tonn; two brothers Gus and Alex Tonn and two sisters Leona Tonn and Erna Marburger.
A Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday May 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Warrenton.
Interment will follow at Florida Chapel near Round Top.
