Rickey Lawrence Fleck, 77, passed away at his home in West Point, Texas surrounded by his six daughters and his wife on November 1, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the New Life Methodist Church in La Grange with interment following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Flatonia. A visitation will be held on the same day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church with the family present.

Rickey was born in Pasadena, Texas to Charles and Bessie Fleck on August 11, 1947. He met Adriana Guerra while working at ARCO and they later married on January 10, 1984. They moved to West Point in 1987 to be closer to family and raise their children. Rickey enjoyed being in the country, and wanted his kids to have that country life. Family was everything to Rickey. He lived next door to his mom and dad who also lived next door to his brother.

Rickey owned R&L Small Engine Repair in Smithville for 22 years. He loved anything that had to do with engines including tractor pulls where he and his brother built their own tractor named Sweet Pea. He also liked music, especially his favorites, Conway Twitty, Roy Orbison and Elvis. Rickey was a member of the New Life Methodist Church and also served as Vice President and President of the Smithville Lion’s Club. Rickey was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Rickey is survived by his wife Adriana; children, Jessica Walker (Randy) of West Point, Leslie Boughton (Shane) of Round Rock, Rickie Fleck (Kristina Pullen) of Kyle, Catrena Thompson (Mike) of Spring, Ricque Haines of Deer Park, and Mona Cantrell of Katy; grandchildren, Wendy, Zachary, Nicholas, Kenda, Shane, Mason, Vance, Matthew, Nicholas, Ethan, Taylor, Jude, Devin, Harper, Tripp; great grandchildren, Hazel, Emily, Andreas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Bessie; brother, Larry Wayne Fleck; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Jackson Atwell.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to New Life Methodist Church (1215 N. Von Minden St., La Grange, Texas 78945) or to a charity of one’s choice.
