Raymond (Ray) B. Pazderny, 89, of Fayetteville died Thursday, January 1, 2015.
Ray was born in Jarrell, Texas, November 11, 1925, the son of Bohumil Pazderny and Marie (Balusek) Pazderny. He married Doris Mae Knippel on February 2, 1947 in Fayetteville.
Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family.
Ray is survived by his daughter Kathy and son-in-law Victor Havran of Fayetteville, son Charles and daughter-in-law Marlene (Sumbera) Pazderny of Sugar Land, grandson Patrick Havran of Bellville, grandson Brian and wife Shelly (Acree) Havran of College Station, grandson Jason Pazderny of Houston, and great-grandchildren Daxton and Zayda Pazderny of Houston.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and wife Doris Mae (Knippel) Pazderny.
Ray proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean war. He was an avid sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys, University of Texas football and Duke basketball. He also loved fishing and enjoyed music of the Big Band era.
Per his wishes graveside services will be held in Shelby, Texas for family members only.
