Patrick D. Johnson, age 58, of La Grange, passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2013.
Patrick was born on September 10, 1954, in San Antonio, to Junior Johnson and Dorlis Morgon Johnson. He served his country in the United States Navy on the USS England. Pat was a retired mechanic for LCRA, with twenty-five years of service.
Pat was a friend to everyone. He would meet you once and always greet you with a smile and remember your name. Two of Pat’s passions were golf and travel. Pat’s love of travel and adventure took him to six continents around the world.
When not travelling, Pat could most often be found on the golf course. Every Wednesday afternoon the “Wednesday Golf Bunch” could be found locally on the Frisch Auf golf course, in addition to their several golf vacations throughout the year, including their annual out of state golfing escapes.
He was also an enthusiastic Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed an annual stadium game.
Pat is survived by his mother; a sister, Alice Ruth Lorenzetti and her husband Mike; niece, Alicia Howell and her husband Andrew and great-nephews, Isaac and Caleb Howell, all of Longmont Colorado.
He is also survived by his life-long friend, Myrtry Ann Etlinger and extended family; Tina and Robert Romero and children; Reed, Zane, Isabella and Sydney from San Antonio; Shannon and Bruno Zucca and children; Nicholas, Andrew and Landon of Austin.
A celebration of his life will be held on June 29, 2013 with a reception at the Frisch Auf Valley Country Club from 3:00 until 5:00 PM. All friends are invited to attend.
Burial with full military honors will take place on Monday July 1, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange.
