Pamela Sue Hays, age 54, passed away January 28, 2009 at her home in Fayetteville, Texas. She was born January 18, 1955 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to parents, Jack Hoard and Dorothy (Montgomery) Hoard.
Pamela moved to Texas in 1972 where she graduated from Madison High School in 1973. She attended Parsons Business College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Pamela married Marc Hays on August 13, 1977 at Westbury Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
After serving as the financial secretary for Williams Trace Baptist Church in Sugar Land, Texas for seven years, Pamela and her family moved to Fayetteville, Texas in 1996. She owned and operated The Painted Lady Tea Room and Antiques Shop. She later continued her career in restaurant management at Café M. Bloomers in Navasota, Texas and Ernie’s Restaurant in Dallas, Texas. Pamela loved to travel and her favorite destinations included New York City, Colorado and the Florida Keys.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Marc; two daughters, Amy Keilers and her husband Cyril and Julie Hays; one sister, Bonnie Oviatt and two brothers, Bill and Dennis Hoard.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack Hoard and Dorothy (Montgomery) Hoard and her oldest brother Robert Hoard.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville Brethren Church. Reverend Eddie Alley will officiate at the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or to Trinity Baptist Church in Sugar Land, Texas.
