Neva Ella Noak, age 88 of La Grange passed away on August 20, 2014.
Neva was born on March 28, 1926 at Round Top to Alfred Noak and Frieda Schlabach Noak. She was baptized at home on October 19, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. She worked 35 years at Franklin Nursery in La Grange. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange, the Ladies Aid, Care Bearers, office volunteer and volunteered at Care Inn in La Grange. She loved gardening, fishing and watching the Houston Astros.
She is survived by one sister, Nola Goehring of Round Top; one brother, Nolan Noak of Carmine; one sister-in-law, Vernell Noak; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Nelson Noak; one sister-in-law, Irene Noak; one brother-in-law, Leroy Goehring and niece Ira Nell McCoy.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday August 22, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.. The family will receive visitors from 5:00-7:00 PM. Prayer service is at 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday August 23, 2014 at St Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Richter Cemetery in Round Top.
Family suggests memorials be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church in La Grange.
