Neil Daniels of Houston, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to his heavenly home on March 5, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 3, 1945 in Coral Gables, Florida to George and Maxine Daniels. After high school, Neil went on to earn his Master’s Degree and worked in the computer field at Exxon for over 30 years. He met the love of his life Peggy Bales at Georgia Tech and married her on May 28, 1966. They had two children Mark and Kim.
Neil was a passionate member of Tallowood Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and he was a member of the Bayou City Singers. Neil enjoyed traveling the world, supporting different missionaries, and being part of theater, but mostly he loved his God and his family. Neil will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.
Neil is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Peggy Daniels; son, Mark Daniels and wife Mary of Crosby; daughter, Kim Derry and husband Toby of Fulshear; brothers, Roger Daniels and wife Carol of La Grange and Howard Daniels of Portland, Oregan; grandchildren, Jennifer and Billy Stark, Meagan and Oliver Dias, Cynthia Daniels, and Mitchell Derry; great-grandchild, Alexander LaValley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Maxine Daniels; and one sister, Pat Daniels.
A Graveside Service for Neil Everett Daniels is scheduled for March 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Cemetery in La Grange, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston at a later date.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to AD Players or to a charity of one’s choice.
