Nancy Lee Longwell, age 66 of Pflugerville, formerly of La Grange, passed away at her home on November 2, 2012.
Nancy was born on July 10, 1946, in Van Nuys, California, to Harold L. Chambers and Gladys (Mickey) Lamar Chambers. She was a retired Wal-Mart associate, a member of Second Baptist Church in La Grange and the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild. Nancy enjoyed collecting frog merchandise, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking & cardmaking and gardening.
She is survived by longtime companion, Joseph Hinson of Pflugerville; one son, Todd L. Longwell of La Grange; daughter, Debra McCombs of La Grange; granddaughter, Hannah M. Horton of Burleson; grandson, Micah L. McComb of Fort Worth; sister, Jo Lou (Jody) Jones of Cedar Park; two nieces; Leslie Hamilton & husband Adam of Austin and Carol Rylander of Austin; two great-nieces and three great-nephews of Austin, along with numerous family members in California.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Julie Ann Longwell; nephew, Mark Rylander and ex-husband John Longwell.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday November 5, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors at this time.
Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday November 6, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Second Baptist Church in La Grange.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange, Relay for Life or the American Cancer Society.
