Michael Ray Varner, age 56 , of Muldoon, passed away on January 4, 2012 at his home.
Michael was born on March 4, 1955, in Atlanta, Texas to Tommy Dean Varner and Margaret Smith Varner. He was a retired truck driver and had served in the United States Army.
Michael is survived by his wife, Brenda Varner of Muldoon; mother, Margaret Varner of Greenville; daughter, Crystal Justice and husband Jimmy of Bastrop; two grandsons, Trystan and Cayden Justice of Bastrop; three sisters; Kathy Howell and husband Mike of Miss., Melissa Varner of Greenville and Carla Gilmer and husband Mark of Odessa; mother-in-law, Pearlie Wetjen and husband Leroy of West Point; three brothers-in-law, Roger Naumann and wife Tina of Willis, Ron Naumann and wife Kim of Fayetteville and Randy Naumann and wife Eddie of Lexington; three God-children; Katelyn Schlotterbeck, Dylan Schlotterbeck and Justin Gaertner; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends also survive.
Michael was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, Lesley Naumann; aunt, Bobbie McGregor and his grandparents.
Visitation is scheduled Friday January 6, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday January 7, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Chapel in La Grange.
Interment will follow at Blackjack Springs Cemetery, near O'Quinn.
