Marvin Lee (Bobby) Otto, age 92 of La Grange, passed away at his home on January 8, 2014.
Marvin was born on November 11, 1921 in La Grange to Fred Vastine Otto and Addie Dornwell. Marvin married Mildred Light on December 24, 1942 at Carmine. He was a retired dairy farmer, a member of St, Paul’s Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church, dance clubs, Farm Bureau, and a Director of the Brown Swiss Association of Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughter, Bonnie Lee Friedrich and husband Vernon of Gainesville; son, Ronney Light Otto and wife Linda of La Grange, seven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; ten nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Otto, II and wife Berta, Ernest Gene Otto and wife Alfreida and Charles Otto; nephews, Fred Otto, III and Monty Otto.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday January 10, 2014, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors at this time.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday January 11, 2014, at 10:30 AM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Private interment will be at a later date.
