Mamie is survived by her sister Verlene Hobratschk and her husband Wallace, sister Mary Ann Hofferek, and brother Laniel Wolff and his wife Sharon. Mamie Jean was baptized(March 24, 1937), confirmed( September 24, 1950) and married(June 14, 1958) at Waldeck Lutheran Church. She and Charlie moved to Austin to begin their careers at DPS and Steck Company. Mamie retired from DPS after 30 years of service! Their love for camping led them to be involved with The Good Sam Camping Club, where they met many of their life long friends. They formed friendships all across the USA from their camping adventures. Mamie was passionate about cooking, sewing, collecting cookbooks and creating scrapbooks. She enjoyed photography especially when it involved her favorite subjects..... flowers, scenery, and, of course, Jordy and Sam. Later in life Mamie enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Society, doting on her pet cat Mitzi and going out to eat with her beloved husband Charlie. She and Charlie were active members of Waldeck Lutheran Church for many years.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Thomas Borgstedte, St. Marks Medical Center and their staff for their care of our beloved Mamie over these past many years. We would like to express love and thanks to Lana Limmer for her devotion in assisting Mamie and Charlie over the past few years. We would also like to thank all of the fire, law enforcement and medical personnel that assisted us on the tragic day of Mamie's passing. Our heartfelt love and gratitude goes out to our family and friends that have supported us during this very difficult time.
