Mamie Ethel Wilkes Fleck (Judy) was born February 19, 1926 in Olanta, South Carolina in a small farmhouse out of town. She passed from this earth to heaven on April 18, 2022 at 96 years of age. She married Henry Franklin Fleck January 18, 1947. She lived in Houston, TX many years where she raised her family. Judy worked at Galena Park School District until she retired in 1983. Henry and Judy moved to their 100-acre ranch outside of Smithville, TX in 1984. Mom had a special gift for gardening, raising vegetables and flowers. She had a love for daylilies and hybridizing new daylilies. While living in Houston she would sell vegetable and flower seedlings from her greenhouse and to local feed stores for resale. After moving to the country, she would sell her ferns, flowers and vegetable seedlings at local family garage sales.
She is survived by daughters Linda Allison and Sherley Channing. Grandchildren Cassie Allison, Curt Allison, Nick Channing, Dale Fleck and Deana Fleck. She was blessed with many great and great, great grandchildren, sons-in-law Al Allison and Roger Channing. She was preceded in death by her parents; Mack Wilkes and Ada Lee and her husband Henry Fleck, son Henry Franklin Fleck Jr., great granddaughter Abby Claire, great grandson Dean Fleck, stepson Rodney Fleck and daughter-in-law Scotty Fleck. There were 7 siblings in her family which have all passed from this earth.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Smithville, Texas. She loved God and the beautiful world he gave us to live in.

Mom's hard-working hands are at rest, and she has earned her wings. She is at peace walking in heaven, now tending the flowers and visiting with family and friends.
