LYDIA FIETSAM
A Rosary for Lydia Fietsam, 103, of La Grange will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church with interment following at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Lydia was born November 30, 1916, in Rutersville, Texas to Albert and Pauline Seiler Eberenz. Lydia attended Harms School in Rutersville and was the last surviving student of the Class of 1928. She married Joseph Fietsam on Thanksgiving Day 1937, and he preceded her in death on Thanksgiving Day 1986. Lydia was a homemaker, a farmer and a rancher.
Lydia is survived by son, Joe Fietsam Jr. of La Grange, Texas, and his special friend, Carol Globke of Spring, Texas; daughter Barbara Wick, and her husband Leo of La Grange; sister-in-Law, Alice Eberenz; nine Grandchildren, eighteen Great Grandchildren, five Great, Great, Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
Lydia was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Herbert and Werner Eberenz; one sister, Hattie Havermann; one Great Grandson Hayden O’Brien; and an infant Grandson, Mark Fietsam.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Fayette Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange, Texas.
