Luis Baltazar Hernandez

A Mass of Christian burial for Luis Baltazar Hernandez, 56 of La Grange, is scheduled for Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church in La grange with interment in the La Grange City Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 12:00 – 6:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, Rosary at 6:00 PM. 

Luis Hernandez passed away on August 23, 2024 in Smithville. Luis was born in San Juan Durango on December 25, 1967 to Lucio Hernandez Garcia and Concepcion Vaquera Mata. He married Alejandrina Valdez Soto on October 6, 1990. They had three children; Luis, Grecia and Andrea. 

Luis was a passionate cook. He worked at Reba’s Pizzeria for over 24 years doing what he loved to do, making pizzas. He also enjoyed dancing. Luis was always available if someone needed help. He was a family man and loved his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and Luis was always happy. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and customers. 

Luis is survived by his father, Lucio; wife, Alejandrina; children, Luis Hernandez, Jr. and wife, Kimberly of College Station, Grecia McKenzie and husband, Deon of La Grange, Andrea Nemer of Colorado; brothers, Jose Alfredo Hernandez V., and Martin Lucion Hernandez V.; sisters, Maria Elva Hernandez V., Maria Dolores Hernandez V., Carmen Julieta Hernandez V.; grandchildren, Myah, Mason, Maliyah, Madden, Mariyah, Everlee and baby Hernandez due in December; close friend, Gustavo Bernan; dear Uncle, Santos Hernandez; along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Concepcion and sister, Maria de Carmen Hernandez V.
