Lorean Doerr Swafford was born near Round Top, Texas, on August 30, 1924. She moved to Hockley, Texas in 1972. She had a career as a florist. She passed away on June 17, 2014 at Tomball Regional Hospital at the age of 89. She was a member of the Sons Of Hermann and S.P.J.S.T.
She is survived by her sister Ruby Lee; sister-in-law, Violet Doerr of Waller; niece Joann Lakadosch and husband Georg; niece Michelle Woodring and husband Danny; niece Priscilla Chandler and husband Ron; niece Linda Ward and husband Cecil; nephew James Wagner and wife Karen; nephew Ross Wagner and wife Cassandra; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; step-son Randy Swafford and wife Stephanie and their children, Jason Swafford of New York and Jeannie Swafford of California; and a very special friend Paul Wilburn Jr. and wife Evonne who was like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry (J.C.) Swafford, parents David and Leona (Schroeder) Doerr and brother Loyd Doerr and brother-in-law Al Wagner.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday June 20, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 21, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Interment will follow at Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top.
