Leroy Roger Friedel, age 68 of La Grange passed away on August 19, 2014.
Leroy was born on January 7, 1946 in La Grange to Frank Friedel and Cyrilla Novosad Friedel. He was a retired painter who enjoyed listening to Polka music and scratching lotto tickets.
He is survived by three sons; Leroy Friedel, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Bastrop, Nathan Friedel and Forrest Friedel, both of Elgin; two daughters, Lonna Friedel of Bastrop and Gina Friedel of Elgin; four grandchildren, Leroy Friedel, Courtni Friedel, Cameron Friedel and Ava Killebrew; special friend, Florence Yoakum of La Grange; two sisters, Bernice Woolery of Austin and Katy Schubert and husband Donny of Rosanky; three brothers, Frank Friedel and wife Judy of Elgin, Bernard Friedel and wife Vivian of Plum and Joe Friedel of Houston and a sister-in-law, Anne Friedel of Smithville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Jerome Friedel and Robert Friedel; two sisters, Agnes Reiss and Georgie Fisher.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 21, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday August 22, 2014 at10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum.
Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Plum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum.
