Larry Wayne Fleck, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in West Point, Texas, on October 25, 2022. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Byler Cemetery in West Point, Texas.
Larry was born August 7, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to Charles and Bessie Fleck. He married Theah Stobaugh on January 10, 1966 and they later had two daughters, Angela and Andrea.
Larry was a jack of all trades. He was a mechanic, carpenter, dozer owner/operator and much more. He was very dependable and a hard worker at every job he ever did. He had an amazing memory and knowledge to learn how to do anything. Larry enjoyed building his own drag cars and dune buggies. He also enjoyed drag racing, deer hunting, bowling, riding around the ranch on the Kubota, tinkering around in his workshop and then, when all the work was done, having a good ice-cold beer with his buddies. Larry was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone, be they friend or family. He will be thoughtfully missed by all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Theah; daughters, Angela Fleck Adkins (Darrell) of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Andrea Fleck of West Point; brother, Rickey Fleck (Lina) of West Point; grandchildren, Dylan Adkins, Alexandra Gaylord, Clayton Gaylord, Emmitt Gaylord; great grandchildren Annalise, Colton and great granddaughter arriving in February. Last but not least, his ever-faithful fur babies, Coco (Coty Bear), Maggie, Shilo, and Daisy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Bessie; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte Atwell (Jack); and father and mother-in-law, Bud and Phyllis Stobaugh.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or to Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter.
Services have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange. Family and friends can view and sign the guestbook online at www.fayettememorialfuneralhome.com.
