Lambert Clarence Baron, 84, of Rutersville, passed from this life on May 2, 2015 at Monument Hill Rehab and Nursing Center in La Grange.
Lambert was born on October 24, 1930 in Rutersville, Texas, the son of Peter and Amelia (Gully) Baron. Lambert married Frances Karasek on July 4, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange.
Lambert worked at Farmers Lumber Company in La Grange, first as a bookkeeper, then manager, Board of Director’s President, and staying on as an active member of the board long after his retirement. Lambert enjoyed spending time with his family and tending to his cattle on his family farm.
Lambert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Baron of Rutersville, and two Daughters, Marian J. (Joey) Baron of Paige, and Patricia Herron and her husband, Scott, of La Grange. Three grandchildren, Chris Baron and his wife Donna of La Grange, Nicole Lott and her husband, Chris of Elgin and Abigail Herron of La Grange. One brother, Lawrence Baron and his wife Beatrice of Columbus, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Lambert was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Monument Hill Rehab and Nursing Center, the doctors, nurses and staff at La Grange Family Health Center; the staff and nurses at Brazos Valley Hospice Care, and the pharmacy staff at LifeCheck Drugs.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange with the family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange with Father Ed Karasek, officiating. Interment will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery.
