Kyle Wayne Fajkus was born November 3, 1987 to Richard Fajkus and Bobbie Sue Bassford Fajkus, at Fayette Memorial Hospital in La Grange. He was called to his eternal home on August 13, 2013 following a tragic accident.
Kyle lived most of his life in La Grange, where he attended and graduated from La Grange High School in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kyle also loved music and was a very gifted drummer and guitarist. Family was always important to Kyle, especially his son, Kash and Kash’s mother, Megan Helms-Fajkus.
Kyle is survived by his wife; Megan; son, Kash; his parents, Ricky & Bobbie Sue Fajkus; brother Specialist Colter Fajkus and fiancé Amy Kirkland; mother & father-in-law, Carol & David Rutherford; grandparents, Gloria & Patrick Heinrich; aunts; Deb Powell and husband Jeremy; Stephanie Haga and husband John, Pat Hornsby and Barbara O'Connell; uncles, Jason Fajkus and wife Marlana, Jarrett Fajkus and wife, Chelsea, Erwin Bassford and wife, Debra, many more uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Ivan Fajkus and Erwin Bassford and grandmother Beatrice Bassford and uncles Terry Dyer and Mickey Bassford.
Visitation is scheduled from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, Saturday August 17, 2013 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Interment will follow in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn.
