June Hardin Painter passed away at the age of 90 on October 21, 2009.
June was born on July 22, 1919 to parents Rose Christian Hardin and Robert Augustus Hardin. She was predeceased by her husband James Painter.
She is survived by her sister, Elaine Thomas of Houston, Texas; cousin, Sandy Barlion and her husband, Jack of Visalia, California; nephews Robert H. Thomas and his wife, Lisa of Houston, Texas, John C. Thomas and his wife, Suzanne of San Antonio, Texas and Duane A. Thomas and his wife, Phyllis of Austin, Texas; grandchildren; Beverly Lyons Killian and her husband, Steve of Rogersville, Alabama, Elizabeth Lyons Hilgeman and her husband, Herb of Memphis, Tennessee and David Lyons and his wife, Mylinda of Willow Park, Texas, as well as 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
June graduated from Reagan High School in Houston, Texas and was an accomplished artist, who spent many memorable years in Round Top, Texas.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and very active in the Round Top community.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Sunday October 25, 2009 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Round Top, Texas.
There will be a private family burial.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
