Josephine Huelsebusch, 84, of La Grange, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.  

Josephine was born in La Grange on April 13, 1938, the daughter of Rudolph and Erna (Marquart) Kaspar.  She attended grade school at Sacred Heart Catholic School and then La Grange High School.  She married Franklin Huelsebusch on November 12, 1955 in La Grange. They welcomed 4 children - Mark Wayne who passed in infancy, Becky Lynn, Brenda Sue, and Mark John.  

Josephine was a loyal wife to her dear husband, Franklin, who was in the U. S. Air Force.  They were stationed in San Antonio, TX and Fairfield, CA.  They moved back to La Grange in 1962 to raise their family.  Josephine was a loving housewife raising her children through grade school.  She worked at Sears Roebuck Catalog Store, moved into banking, becoming Branch Manager at Remington Savings, and eventually retired from National Bank & Trust. 

Josephine was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation #1962, KJZT Society #31 and Sacred Heart Altar Society. She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their many activities throughout the years.  She also supported her husband in his many years of involvement with the Fayette County Fair and the Knights of Columbus.  She and Franklin loved to attend Muffler & Exhaust conventions and Fair conventions together and enjoyed travelling to the casinos in Las Vegas and Louisiana. 

Josephine is survived by her children: Becky (Bill) Levy of Austin, TX, Brenda (Steve) Seberger of La Grange, TX, and Mark (Jenny) Huelsebusch of La Grange, TX; four grandchildren: Kelly (Wade) Mozisek, Travis Seberger, Gabe (Kassidy) Huelsebusch, and Luke Huelsebusch; and three great grandchildren: Rylee and Emma Mozisek and Jayce Huelsebusch. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Alfred Huelsebusch, infant son Mark Wayne Huelsebusch, and infant grandson, Wyatt John Huelsebusch.  

Per Josephine’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation #1962 Scholarship Fund in her namesake memory, P O Box 275, La Grange, TX 78945; Sacred Heart Church, P O Box 548, La Grange TX 78945; or Sacred Heart School, 545 E Pearl St, La Grange, TX 78945.
