John Ira Ivy, age 94 of Muldoon, Texas, passed away on November 20, 2011 in Schulenburg.
John was born on August 22, 1917 in Muldoon, to T.J. Irving Ivy and Sallie E Pitman. John enjoyed trapping, hunting, and working cattle. After over 30 years of service he retired from Dow Chemical.
John is survived by two sons; John C. Ivy and wife Pairlee of Muldoon, and James D. Ivy and wife Joan of Muldoon; two sisters-in-law Marie Ivy of West Point and Yvonne Speed of Houston; four grandchildren, Judy Tullos and husband Winfred of Lufkin, TX, Randy Ivy of Kerrville, TX, Andy Ivy of Muldoon, Bobby Ivy of Muldoon; 2 great grandchildren, Jessica and Cade Tullos of Lufkin.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Ivy; parents T.J. and Sallie Ivy; infant daughter Linda Lou Ivy; sister Ruth Darling and brother Ross Ivy.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday November 22, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday November 23, 2011 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Interment will follow at Pitman Cemetery
