J. C. (Jerry) Swafford passed away on April 11, 2013 in Tomball Nursing Center.
He was born on April 10, 1926, in Loraine in Mitchell County in West Texas to W. L Swafford and Nanny Montgomery Swafford. He served in the Navy from 1944-1946.
He is survived by his wife, Lorean Doerr Swafford; one son, Randy Swafford and his wife Stephanie; two grandchildren, Jeanne Swafford of California and Jason Swafford of New York; two nieces in Michigan, two nieces in Florida; numerous cousins and a special friend, Paul Willburn, Jr., who was like a son to him and his wife Evonne.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pete Swafford and his sister, Aleta Horton.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday April 13, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Hospice, 715 East Main, Suite 100, Tomball, Texas 77375, Florida Chapel Cemetery or the Activity Fund at Tomball Nursing Center, 815 North Peach, Tomball, Texas 77375.
