Ida Margaret Sherrill, age 94 of La Grange passed away on February 25, 2015.
Margaret was born on May 9, 1920 in Douglas, Georgia to Lonnie Rollins and Maude Stokes Rollins. She married J. W. Sherrill on August 2, 1952 in Houston. She was a homemaker, enjoyed being a seamstress and fostering children.
She is survived by her children; Robert (Bobby) Dawkins of Livingston, Betty McGuire of Lufkin, Peggy Rollins and spouse Willard of Missouri, James Wesley Sherrill, Jr. and spouse Becky Sherrill of Ohio, Patricia Allyn and spouse Randy of Sherman, James Sherrill and spouse Debbie of Livingston, Venitia Skelton and spouse Jay of Houston, Lynn Douglas and spouse Warren of La Grange; siblings; Eugene Rollins and spouse Frances of Florida, Opal Bauler of Spring, Jimmy Rollins and spouse Evelyn of South Carolina, Tommy Rollins and wife Alice of Pasadena, Gwen Twiss of Florida, Willard Rollins and wife Peggy of Missouri, Jean Jeffers and spouse Austin of Florida; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, L. J. Rollins; granddaughter, Cara Crisler; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Talena Harris; three brothers-in-law, Jack Bauler, George Twiss and Wesley Hearn.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday March 1, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors at this time.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday March 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange.
Interment will follow in the Byler Cemetery in Muldoon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley in La Grange, United Pentecostal Church of La Grange or the charity of one’s choice.
