Helen Elizabeth Sivek, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on December 12, 2012.
Helen was one of five children. She was born on June 1, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas to Andrew Jackson Larson and Dolly Viola Hennington Larson.
They moved to La Grange in January, 1955. She was employed by New York Store and Moore’s Jewelry in La Grange. Her family lived outside La Grange in Rabbs Prairie, where they farmed and had a loving homestead.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Sylvester Sivek; her children, Charles Sivek and wife Betty; Billy Sivek and wife Diane; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and her son Robert Sivek.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday December 16, 2012, from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors beginning at 4:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday December 17, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange.
Interment will follow in La Grange City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
