Helen Beatrice Maeckel, 68, of Houston died April 5th in the Memorial City Health & Rehabilitation Center. Helen was born in LaGrange November 8, 1945, the daughter of Helmuth & Edna (Raska) Hunger. She was united in marriage with Frank J. Maeckel on July 2, 1966 in Plum. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mary and Paul Srubar of Flatonia and Rose and Michael Miller of Fresno; two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A memorial service will be held on April 16th at 1 pm in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bishop Mark Groesbeck. Visitation will be open from 11:30-1 pm.
