Helen Josephine (Blaha) Campbell

A mass of Christian Burial for Helen Josephine Blaha Campbell will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum with interment to follow at the church cemetery in Plum. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 4-6 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange, TX.

Helen Jo passed away at her home with her husband and wonderful caregiver, Lana by her side on January 4, 2023 at the age of 86. She was born in Ellinger, TX on August 9, 1936, to Louis Lambert and Julia Vlasta (Krenek) Blaha.

She is survived by her Husband of 40 years, Allen Edward Campbell of La Grange, her stepdaughter, Traci Campbell Goudi, and husband Patrick Hubik, and step granddaughter, Harlow Hubik, of Bastrop, TX.

Two sisters, Julia (Judy) Catron of Schulenburg, TX, Katy Reaux and husband Jim of Brookshire, TX. Three sisters-n-law Nelda Blaha of La Grange, TX, Jayne Nelson of Holand, TX, Kay Dipple and husband Donnie of La Grange, TX, one brother-n-law Richard Cernoch and wife Kathy of La Grange, TX, and 26 nieces and nephews, and their families. Many other family members and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Julia Blaha, stepson, Arnold Gene Spann, Jr., and her in-laws, Jack and Elsie Campbell.

Brothers, Lawrence and wife Nine Dean Blaha, Daniel and wife Earline Blaha, Jimmy Blaha, Tommy Blaha, and Lambert Eugene Blaha.

Sisters, Rose and husband Rudy Minarcik, and Rebecca (Becky) Cernoch.

One niece, Jamie Reaux Degeyter, and one nephew, Derek Kyle Reaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Rebecca A. Blaha Cernoch Memorial Scholarship, Hospice Brazos Valley, Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum, or to a Charity of one’s choice.

Pall Bearers will be her nephews: Ross Minarcik, Russell Minarcik, Rodney Blaha, Tim Catron, Patrick Blaha, Lambert Blaha, Tom Blaha, Mark Willis, Bruce Willis, Ryan Cernoch, and Reece Cernoch.

Honorary Pall Bearer will be Kenny Kruse.
