Grace Marie (Bracey) Dyer, 97, of La Grange was called to her eternal resting place on Dec. 5, 2015. She was born on March 17, 1918 to Claude Odell Bracey and Lillian (Charpiot) Bracey.
Grace was married to Jack Leon Dyer on Jan. 2, 1943 in Redding, California. She graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown in 1947. She was a very devoted and loving wife and Mother who cherished her time with family and friends. She was a member of Travis Street United Methodist Church and then The First United Methodist Church of La Grange.
Grace is survived by her sister Helen (Bracey) Wilkinson, 95 of Rosenburg, Tx.; grandsons Jay Dyer and wife Shannon of Spring Branch, Jeff Dyer and wife Lisa of La Grange, and John Dyer and wife Silvia of Round Rock.; seven great-grandchildren: Madison Dyer, Bracey Dyer, Hayden Dyer, Gracie Dyer, Rylie Dyer, Andrew Dyer and Paul Dyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Claude Odell Bracey, Jr., and Beuford Norris Bracey; husband Jack L. Dyer; and son Jack Bracey Dyer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7pm at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in La Grange on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. followed by the burial at the La Grange Cemetary
