Glenn Raymond Erickson

Glenn Erickson, a dedicated husband, father, veteran, and friend, peacefully passed away in his sleep on
May 18th, 2024, at the age of 73. His, deep love for his family, and his enduring friendships will forever
live in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Born on July 23rd, 1950, in Houston, TX, Glenn was the cherished son of the late Chester F. and Vivian A.
Erickson. Glenn served his country with honor during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1974, embodying
the true spirit of selflessness and duty.

Following his military service, Glenn embarked on a civilian career with the Naval Air Service, stationed
on North Island in San Diego, CA. As a technician specializing in ejection seats for F4 fighter jets.
Eventually, Glenn returned home to Houston in the late 1970s. He then moved to LaGrange in 1979
where he began a distinguished tenure with GTE (Verizon Telephone), for thirty-three years before
retiring.

Even in retirement, Glenn's spirit of service continued as he found fulfillment in volunteering at his local
American Legion Hall in Giddings, TX, where he supported fellow veterans and their families.
Glenn's greatest pride and joy were his family. For forty-two years, he shared an enduring love and
companionship with his beloved wife, Debbie Erickson, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and
cherished memories.

Glenn will be deeply missed by his sister, Debbie (Mike) Watts, his children Darek (Becky) Erickson, Jon
(Kelley) Masters, Kim (Paul) Patti, and Trevor Erickson. He will also be fondly remembered by his
grandchildren Matthew Masters, Haley (Jarrett) Franklin, Christopher Masters, Marissa Patti, Austin
Erickson, Anthony Patti, and Ashley Masters. Additionally, Glenn leaves behind cherished nephews and
nieces: David Godwin, Dylan Tyler, Elizabeth Roberts, Bobby Godwin, James Tyler, Michelle Tyler, Eric
Watts, Lauren Watts, Brandi Helton, and Liz Hilliar. Glenn's extended family and longtime friends,
including many brothers and sisters-in-law, also held a special place in his life.

Glenn's family invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his memory on June 1st, 2024 at
11:00am for military honors at the Giddings Cemetery at 900 W. Austin St. Immediately following there
will be a celebration of life to be held at "the shop" in Giddings, TX. This was a place where Glenn shared
countless cherished moments with his lifelong friend, Bump Harrison and his family JoAnn and Hunt,
working on cars and enjoying each other's company.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Legion York Post 276,
Giddings, Texas or The ALS Association (als.org/donate).
