Evelyn Betty Ulbrich went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2014. Funeral Mass for Evelyn Ulbrich, 84, of La Grange will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday May 28, 2014 with Interment to follow at the La Grange City Cemetery in La Grange. A rosary will be read at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday May 27, 2014 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange where the family will receive guests from 4:00 until 6:30 P.M.
Evelyn was born November 19, 1929 in Fayette County Texas to Leo Evanicky and Josephanie Mikes Evanicky. Evelyn was a Charter Member of the Catholic Daughters of America since 1966, the Ladies Alter Society, the KJZT society #31 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. She was a nurse and also worked as a nurse’s aide at the Carriage Inn and Monument Hill Nursing Center. Evelyn was a beloved Grandmother, a loving wife, a compassionate friend and a nurturing Mother and Mother-in-law.
Evelyn is survived by her 4 grandchildren: Bryan Abraham, Ashlie Olazaran, Meagan Ulbrich, and Rachel Ulbrich; 4 great grandchildren, Jason Morones, Braelynn Harrell, Landin Olazaran, and Charlie Cave, daughter-in-law Linda Huron as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a daughter Joyce Abraham.
Evelyn was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence Ulbrich, son, Larry Ulbrich and 4 brothers.
Family suggests memorials to the Catholic Daughters of America and the Sacred Heart Ladies Alter Society.
