Evelyn Ripper

Evelyn Mary Ripper age 90 of La Grange passed away on January 29, 2017 in La Grange.
Evelyn was born on August 20, 1926 in the Pin Oak Community near Smithville to Andrew Frank Steinbach and Hettie Mary Lehman. Evelyn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange and the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and her pets.
She is survived by three sons, Larry Ripper and wife Sylvia, Martin Ripper and wife Debbie and Kenneth Ripper and wife Deborah; sister-in-law, Ruby Herzog and husband Ronnie; brothers-in-law, Charlie Ripper, Walter Ripper and wife Annie Mae Ripper; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Ripper and Dorothy Ripper; grandchildren, Eric and Claire Ripper, Nathan and Hiedi Ripper, Wendy and Robbie Melnar, Andy Ripper, Megan and Charlie Morris, Jason and Jackie Ripper and Stephen and Amy Ripper; great-grandchildren, Judson and Charlton Ripper, Seth and Levi Ripper, Ashlynn Votek, Leyton Dunham and Trinity Melnar, Chloe and Blakeleigh Ripper, Savannah and Bailee Sharp, Abigail Ripper and Laney, Brooklyn and Rylan Ripper.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Martin J. Ripper, her parents; one brother, Milton Steinbach and one sister, Leona Schroeder.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday February 2, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday February 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange.
Interment will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery.
