Evelyn Kelly Kroll of Hostyn went to be with her Lord Monday, July 14, 2008. She was born October 13, 1925 in Indianola, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. and Robbie Mae Kelly (Doggett), her step-father Allen Doggett, her sister Lae Una Swaney, brother-in-law Norman Kroll, sisters-in-law Ruby Kroll and Lillian Thomas, and her beloved husband,
Cleburne "Red" Kroll.
Evelyn was a member of the La Grange Church of Christ and counted many friends in its Ladies’ Bible Class. She had worked many years at the ASCS office and Farmer’s Lumber Company in La Grange.
She is survived by her son, Fred D. Richmond and wife Judy and grand-daughter Kelly of The Woodlands, TX. Other survivors include her beloved nieces, Cheryl (David) Matthews, Charlotte (Klaus) Souvandjiev, Cynthia Salazar, Camille (Tim) Reeder, Carolyn (Edwin) Terry, Charlene (Robert) Tanner and nephew Patrick Fuentes, 18 grand-nephews and -nieces and 19 great grand-nephews and -nieces.
The family wishes to express its deep and profound gratitude to Pete and Lee Aikin for their faithful attention and great help to Evelyn for the past 10 years, which enabled her to live in her own home longer. They have demonstrated true Christian servanthood.
The family invites all her friends to the viewing on Friday, July 18 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Services will be held Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange, Fred Richmond officiating. Graveside services to follow at La Grange City Cemetery, Mr. Jason Browning of the La Grange Church of Christ officiating.
