Estella Marie (Schulze) Lueders was born on January 21, 1925 to Charles Henry Schulze and Leonila Rosa (Klasek) in Floresville. Wilson County, Texas.
She was baptized April 21, 1925, and confirmed September 6, 1942 at Friedens Lutheran Church in Three Oaks, Texas.
She married Clinton Charles Lueders of La Grange on April 23, 1946 at Friedens Lutheran Church in Three Oaks then moved to La Grange where they made their home.
Estella passed away on June 27, 2020 at the age of 95 ½.
Estella is survived by sisters Edna Ebner of La Grange (her twin) and Mary Dausel of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Mary Hausmann of Austin; son, Clinton Lueders, Jr.; daughters, Connie Jakobeit and husband Albert, Cindy Castello all of La Grange; grandchildren, Charles Jakobeit and wife Kellie, Shandell Schubert and husband Kevin, Robert Jakobeit all of La Grange; seven great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clinton, and two brothers, John and Hermann Schulze and son-in-law, Frank Castello.
Estella worked at Fayette Memorial Hospital for 29 years. Her faith always played an important role in her life. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and American Legion. She loved to cook and bake – lemon and pineapple jelly rolls were her specialty. She kept beautiful flower gardens that were the envy of the neighborhood, and she enjoyed embroidery and loved all babies. Through the years, many mothers-to-be received hand embroidered baby blankest and bibs made lovingly by her hands. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Estella will be laid to rest during Graveside Services at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Williams Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Charles Jakobeit, Robert Jakobeit, Shandell Schubert, Kevin Schubert, Jonathan Crider, and Jacob Jakobeit. Nathaniel Crider will act as Honorary Pall Bearer.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of La Grange, or Williams Creek Cemetery Association, La Grange, Texas.
