Eric Anthony Levien was born on July 19, 1993 at Bay Shore Hospital in Pasadena Texas to Cruz Randall and Mark Levien. He was baptized on September 26, 1993 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, Texas.
Eric passed away at 2:30 pm in Houston on September 22, 2011.
Eric will be missed for his “cute little smile” and eclectic tastes. He was always trying new things. On his trip to Scotland, he couldn’t wait to try haggis, a traditional Scottish dish. Here he also developed a taste for tea and scones. Eric was interested in present day world affairs, but also loved to watch the History Channel. He enjoyed going to the Renassaince Festival each year in costume with his family. Eric also enjoyed hunting with his father, sister, and grandfather. In high school he was on the wrestling team and a group leader in ROTC. Perhaps it was in ROTC where Eric acquired his wonderful manners, treating elders with respect and opening doors for ladies. Eric was a competitive runner in 5K and 10K races, especially against his father and cousin, Bridget. Eric loved good music of many types. Eric had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with his friends and family.
Eric was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top.
Eric is survived by his mother Cruz Randall of Angleton, father Mark Levien of Lexington, sisters Emily Levien of Lexington and Katie Randall of Angleton, grandfather Cordell Levien of Round Top, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eric was a close and loyal friend to many and will be sorely missed.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday September 25, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top.
Interment will follow at the Florida Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or charity of one’s choice.
