ELEANORA REISS

A VISITATION FOR Eleanora Reiss, 89, of West Point will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum, Texas with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Eleanora was born August 24, 1928 in Plum, Texas to Stazie Supak Blaha and John Blaha. She married the love of her life, Henry Reiss on February 26, 1949 in Plum, Texas and they happily shared 68 years of marriage.

Eleanora was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, the Swiss Alp dance club, and the Czech singers choir at her church. She loved to fish. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her numerous nieces, and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Reiss of West Point, 1 son Michael Reiss, and his wife Cheryl of La Porte, 1 daughter, Connie Petty, and her husband Warren of West Point. 2 brothers, Bernard Blaha and his wife, Marcelline of Angleton, and John Blaha and his wife, Betty of Smithville. 1 sister Ethlyn Michalk of La Grange.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jason Petty, Eric Petty, Lauren Pyle, Courtney Morris, Jayme Reiss, and Steven Reiss, as well as 7 great-grandchildren, Ella Petty, Fox Petty, Zachary Pyle, Caden Morris, Beckham Petty, Zoe Pyle and Addlynn Morris.

Eleanora was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Paul Blaha.
