E. Steinmann, Jr

Eddie C. Steinmann, Jr., born November 16, 1925 in LaGrange, Texas passed away October 17, 2013 after a short illness. Preceeded in death by his first wife, Lucille Steinmann and second wife, Bella Jo Steinmann. He is survived by his 4 children, 6 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was born in LaGrange and retired in 1978 from Harris County where he was a court reporter in the Civil District Court for 29 years. After retirement and relocation to LaGrange he set up the Emergency Management System for Fayette County. He enjoyed managing his farm, Indian Creek Farm, fishing the bays of Matagorda and hunting in Uvalde County. He was an avid ham radio operator, WA5PEV, and enjoyed camping with his fellow ARC, Amateur Radio Campers, for many years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fayette County Emergency Management Services.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday October 19, 2013, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors at this time.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday October 19, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Interment will follow in La Grange City Cemetery.
