Doughlas Paul Kevilus, Sr, age 60 passed away on Monday August 2, 2010, at his home in Industry, Texas, after a valiant battle with cancer.
He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-one years, Eliazabeth and their children; Doug, Jr. and wife Staci of Fairfield, CA, Karl and wife Laura of San Antonio, Faith Pervatt and husband Jonathan of Phoeniz, AZ, Matthew of Dallas and Kayla Kevilus of San Antonio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two brothers; Mark and Donald Kevilus of Minnesota.
Doug was born on April 27, 1950, to Paul and Eva Kevilus, in Minneapolis, MN.
A loving husband and father, Doug served in the United States Army, worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in CA and at The School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in San Antonio.
Doug was passionate about life, family, church and community. He was a Certified Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church and served two terms on the Solano County Grand Jury in the 1990's.
A memorial service celebrating Doug's life will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at the United Methodist Church in Industry, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doug's memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
