Darlene Kasper passed away on September 28, 2010 at Christopher House in Austin.
Darlene Kasper was born on November 10, 1951 the daughter of Gus and Irene (Vogel) Zoch in Giddings, Texas. She married Larry Kasper on May 20, 1972.
Darlene had a love for life and had many pastimes. She enjoyed gardening, with her roses, always being at the top of the list. Darlene liked to watch home improvement shows on tv and was always telling Larry what their next project was going to be. Many memories were made with Larry on their annual trip to Vegas. Darlene loved spending time with her basset hound Ladybug, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Larry Kasper, father Gus Zoch, three sons, Shannon and wife Mandy Kasper of Warda; Shane Kasper of Warda and Shea Kasper of Warda; one daughter Stephanie and husband Mike Tabbert of Warda; six grandchildren; Taylor, Hunter and Priscilla Kasper of Warda and Dustin, Jamey and Karleigh Tabbert of Warda, a sister Delores Marburger of Austin, and a brother Delbert and wife Judy Zoch of Warda, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Zoch, and parents-in-law, Harold and Irene Kasper, and a brother-in-law, Mike Marburger.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday October 1, 2010 from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday October 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda.
Internment will follow at the church cemetery.
