Daniel Adamek, age 81 of Kerrville, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on June 15, 2011.
Daniel was born January 11, 1930 to John and Mary Supak Adamek in Ellinger, Texas.
Daniel enjoyed many hobbies; he liked working in his garden and going for nature walks. He was always up for a good card game or dominoes. Outdoor activities with his grandchildren, particularly baseball surpassed all other hobbies.
He ran an Exxon service station in Ellinger and then went to work at a swine ranch in Willow Springs. Daniel later went back to doing what he loved most, running a café and service station in Ellinger.
Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel Adamek, Jr. of Fayetteville; daughter, Bernice Svec and husband Steven of La Grange; daughter, Jo Ann Divin and husband Bradley of Fayetteville; grandchildren Chelsea, Alyson, Shane, Ariel, Katelyn and Aric; two great grandchildren; along with best buddy Jimmie Becka.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Adamek; wife Tillie Adamek; son Randy Adamek, sister Leona Supak, brothers Johnnie Adamek and Henry Adamek, grandson Aaron Svec.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday June 17, 2011, from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday June 18, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger.
