Cindy Lynn Kunkel

Cindy Lynn Kunkel, 48, of Round Top, passed away in Houston on March 7, 2023. Funeral Services for Cindy are scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Warrenton with interment to follow at the Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.  Visitation is scheduled for March 13, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.

Cindy was born in La Grange, Texas on October 29, 1974 to Ronnie and Becky Kunkel.  She was raised in Round Top, was baptized and confirmed in Warrenton and was a graduate of Round Top Carmine High School.  She moved to Houston in 2003 where she worked as a Regulatory Specialist in the oil field.  She lived in Houston with the love of her life, Zachary and their three fur babies, Scratch, Nelson and Ellie.

Cindy enjoyed watching “Friends” and the Food Network. She loved to cook, travel and drinking her Bud Light.  She was a very outgoing, loving, and loyal person that really enjoyed being around her friends.  Cindy’s smile could light up a room and she was always the life of the party.  She never met a stranger and would help anyone that needed it.  Cindy was a wonderful person that will be missed so dearly by her family and friends.  Cindy is continuing to give and help others by being an organ donor.    

Cindy is survived by Zachary Bellinger; her parents, Ronnie and Becky Kunkel; brothers, Ricky Kunkel (Kim) and Michael Kunkel (Dalanne); nephews, Tyler Kunkel (Kember) and Andrew Kunkel; other relatives, Eric and Jeana Bellinger, John Bellinger, Brandon Bellinger (Lauren), Julianne Ongudu (Luke) Alexis Bellinger, Jayden Bellinger, Kai Ongudu, and Kiana Ongudu.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart of Association of Texas.
