Christopher W. Price, of La Grange, age 17, passed away on May 14, 2012, at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange.
Christopher was born on September 16, 1994, in La Grange, to John Holstien and Lena Price. He was a student at La Grange High School. He enjoyed playing football, video games and hanging out with his friends. He was a strong fighter, having fought his illness since April 2011.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Lena Price of La Grange; step-father, Steven Scallan of La Grange; brothers, Justin Scallan and Brandon Holstien; grandparents, Jeannie and Mike Ivy of La Grange, Billy and Linda Holstien of La Grange; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins, friends and the “Rat Pack” also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Holstien and a sister, Brooke Proske.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday May 17, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A prayer service is scheduled for 6:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday May 18, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at First United Methodist Church in La Grange.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, South Texas Chapter, 8001 Centre Park Drive, Suite 150, Austin, Texas 78754.
