Charles Dewayne Ward, previously known as Jerome Francis Banse, of Weimar, passed away on Sunday, May 11 at Parkview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Weimar.
He was born on July 20, 1946 and adopted by Edgar J. and Ida Schindler Banse in Austin. On April 4, 1994, he located his birth parents, Marvin and Maudie Ward of Austin.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Michelle Banse of Weimar; granddaughter, Zoe Michelle Urban of Weimar and grandson, Wayne Joseph Urban and fiancé Lisa Merkel of Round Rock. Numerous cousins also survive.
His parents preceded Charles in death.
The memorial service and interment will be private, at the family’s request.
Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association, Hospice of South Texas, St. Michael Catholic Church or to the charity of your choice.
