Catherine Marie Stavinoha, age 76 of Stafford, Texas was called home to the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2011.
Catherine was born in Ammannsville, Texas to Edmund A. Stavinoha and Betty Kallus Stavinoha on May 11, 1934. She is joining her father Edmund, her brothers Florian, Allen and Sydney Stavinoha in heaven.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Stavinoha of Schulenburg Regency, sisters; Ceil Weyand and husband Lester, Betty Wagner and husband Melvin; brothers, Thomas Stavinoha and wife Mildred, Felix Stavinoha and wife Gladys, Pete Stavinoha and wife Glenda, Leroy Stavinoha and wife Patsy and Edmund A. Stavinoha, Jr. She is also survived by three daughters; Connie Hamlin and husband John, Kaye Tullos and husband Larry and Lisa Ann Krc; two sons, Walter Krc, Jr. and Franklin Joseph Krc. She is survived by eleven grandchildren; Tamara and Melissa Krc, Sheldon Tullos, Alexandria Eldemire, Jason and Joshua Krc, Derrick Krc and wife Kristen, Daniel Krc, Allison Cozart and husband Robert, Ashley Low and husband Eric and Amber Darrow and husband Paul. Five great-grandchildren also survive; Kade and Kayla Krc, Caleb Krc, along with Harris and Maddie Cozart.
The family wishes to thank Silverado Hospice, especially her caregivers Veronica and Rosslyn for their compassionate care during Catherine’s struggle with Alzheimer’s.
To celebrate Catherine’s life, friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday March 4, 2011 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
On Saturday March 5, 2011 mass will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 936 FM 2436, Hostyn, Texas. Christian burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Silverado Hospice, 2205 Williams Trace, Sugar Land, Texas, 77478, or the charity of one’s choice.
