Burrel D. Willett, age 83 of La Grange, passed away on August 29, 2012 in La Grange.
Burrel was born to Claud and Vetrice Foster Willett on April 12, 1929 in May, Texas.
He married Frances Taylor on June 9, 1957 in Brownwood Texas. He enjoyed attending his kids and grandkids sporting events. Collecting coins was one of Burrel’s favorite pass times and he always enjoyed watching old western shows. He worked for 35 years for GTE as a COI foremen.
Burrel is survived by daughter Vonice Frerichs and husband Robert of La Grange, sons; Shelby Willett and wife Donna of Bryan, Tim Willett of Commerce, Steven Willett and wife Tammy of La Grange. Grandchildren; Ryan Frerichs and wife Kacy of La Grange, Chandra Jobb and husband Paul of New Braunsfels, Danielle Willett and Timothy Willett of Bryan, Ashley and Jeanna Willett of La Grange. Great-grandchildren; Rylie and Grant Jobb of New Braunsfels, Allison and Breann Jordy of La Grange.
He is preceded in death by his parents Claud and Vetrice Willet, wife Frances Taylor Willett, sisters Othlene Witt, Ima Jean Alexander and niece Deena Templin.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday August 30, 2012 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday August 31, 2012 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Burial will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery.
